United Distributors Pakistan Limited intends to acquire 8,366,306 ordinary shares of PKR 10/- each in Unique Investment (Private) Limited in exchange for 1,388,368 ordinary shares of Searle Pakistan Limited at six month average market rate of PKR 60.26.
The sponsors of UDPL incorporated Unique Investment (Private) Limited to function as a holding company of the group companies. This is part of the sponsors long-term plan to avail tax benefits associated with group formation and to improve operationla efficiency by virtue of focused management.
