Gadoon Textile okays merger with Fazal Mills

The Gadoon Textile Mills (GADT) approved ‘Scheme of Arrangement’ of merger with Fazal Textile Mills (FZTM) on Tuesday. The decision comes seven months after the Yunus Brothers Group (YBG) companies first passed a resolution on May 13, 2014, to enter into discussion for evaluation of the feasibility including due diligence and valuation.

Metro and Makro successfully merge businesses in Pakistan

METRO Cash & Carry Pakistan and Makro-Habib Pakistan have announced on Thursday, the completion of their merger, after obtaining approval from shareholders and the anti-trust and corporate authorities of Pakistan. The merged entity will now be known as METRO-Habib Cash & Carry (Private) Limited, and will operate nine wholesale centres in four major cities.

KARACHI, July 2: Three companies of the Johnson & Phillips group have entered into a “Scheme of Arrangement” for merger into Johnson & Phillips (Pakistan) Limited. The ‘surviving company’ on the conclusion of deal would be ‘Elmetec Johnson & Phillips (Pakistan) Limited. Only one out of the four concerned entities–Johnson & Phillips (Pakistan) Limited — is listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange with paid-up capital at Rs54.5 million.

Summit Bank acquires 59% of MyBank for PKR 2.5 billion

KARACHI  (April 05, 2011) : Summit Bank, led by prominent banker Hussain Lawai, has successfully finalised acquisition deal with Mybank to acquire its majority shares at Rs 8 per share. The State Bank of Pakistan has already granted no objection certificate (NOC) for the merger of these two entities. Summit Bank has acquired 314.701 million shares of Mybank, taking 59.34 percent stake as well as management control.

Summit Bank to complete investment, merger plan by next month

KARACHI  (February 08, 2011) : Summit Bank will complete its investment and merger plan by next month, as corporate and regulatory compliances for merger has finalised with mybank. Merger: Arif Habib, MCB units ink deal

KARACHI: Arif Habib Investments Limited (AHI) and MCB Asset Management Company Limited (MCB AMC) have signed a shareholders’ agreement for the merger of both entities. AHI spokesperson Sarah Shaikh confirmed, “the agreement was signed on January 19.”

According to the terms of the deal, the combined entity will be named as MCB-Arif Habib Savings and Investments Limited, once clearance is received from the regulator. Being a listed company, AHI shall be the surviving entity at the formal completion of the merger.
